POOL HOURS OF OPERATION
Everyone is expected to be off the pool deck and out of the restrooms and locker rooms
by closing time.
Please plan your visit and swim time accordingly so that you are fully out of the restrooms and locker rooms by closing time.
Last check-in to the facility is 30 minutes before closing.

Glendale Polo Bears
Novice Water Polo- Summer, Fall & Spring (no Winter session)
Year Round Water Polo Program
If you're interested in practicing and playing the game of water polo, join us. We practice regularly and in the summer, have scrimmages against local agencies. *Program offering and continuation will depend upon a minimum number of participants*

Prerequisites:
1) Participants must have the endurance to complete a one-hour water polo workout.​
2) Water Polo participants are STRONGLY encouraged to participate on the Glendale Gators Swim Team for building endurance and swimming skills.​
3) Participants are required to pass an initial assessment before final acceptance onto the team.

Ages: 9 - 16

Swim Team Program- Information below
If you're interested in swimming, gaining strength, and building endurance, join us for weekly swim practices.
​
Prerequisites:
1) Participants must have the endurance to complete a one-hour swim team workout.
2) Swim team participants are required to continue swim lessons until Level V (5) is completed.
3) Participants are required to pass an initial assessment before final acceptance onto the team. Refunds will be provided for any
registrant who does not end up being accepted onto the team.
4) Swim team participants are required to participate in a minimum number of summer swim meets typically held on Saturdays
(summer only).

Glendale Junior Lifeguard Academy
Junior Lifeguard
Summer Junior Lifeguard Academy- Summer 2025
This academy will teach the American Red Cross principles of Community First Aid & Safety, Water Safety Instructor Aide, general pool-lifeguard scanning methods and various lifeguard techniques, including reaching and throwing assists. Students will receive a t-shirt to be worn during mandatory volunteer hours following completion of the course. Upon successful completion of the course, Junior Lifeguards will be expected to volunteer for a minimum of 20 hours at the pool site.

Prerequisites:
1) Participants must be a proficient swimmers with the ability to tread water for at least 1 minute continuously.
​
​
Ages: 12-14
​
Fee: $85 (price increasing to $101 Summer 2026)

Volunteer days can take place once the Junior Lifeguard course has been completed. Session A's course finishes on Thursday, June 26 so volunteering can begin on Friday, June 27. Junior Lifeguards must complete a minimum of 20 volunteer hours by Saturday August 16.
